The Island House Triathlon kicks off tomorrow with 40 of the world’s best triathletes from short and long course racing to test themselves over new formats and race the clock set against the stunning backdrop of the Bahama’s.
It will be final time we see Emma Moffatt race as a professional and while we wish all the Aussies the best, ‘Go Moffy’!
Athletes will compete over three days in individual time trials, enduro and sprint non-drafting formats to determine the best overall athlete – the prize $500,000 prize purse with winners collecting $60,000 each.
Six Australian’s will take on the world, and challenge that compatriot Luke McKenzie has designed in conjunction with wife Beth as race organizers.
The three days of competition include individual time trial events over swim, bike, and run as well as an Enduro event before culminating on day 3 with a sprint distance race on the private island of Highbourne Cay.
