Triathlon Australia is pleased to publish the 2021/2022 Annual Report and Financial Statements – providing a report on what President, Michelle Cooper, described as a year of unparalleled collaboration and transformation.
The board remained focused on best practice governance through the undertaking and investment in significant projects through a period of recovery, following two years of pandemic disruption.
Significant milestones include the implementation of a new operating model, launch of a renewed and refreshed Membership platform and structure, High Performance Strategy 2024+ and implementation of the National Integrity Framework, in partnership with key stakeholders, the Australian Sports Commission, the Australian Institute of Sport and Sport Integrity Australia.
While the organisation reports a deficit for 2021/2022, triathlon’s financial future remains strong. Reserves remain above pre-pandemic levels, and with continuous effort to close the gap, Triathlon Australia will embrace the opportunities that come with the runway to the Victoria 2026 and Brisbane 2032 Games.
Triathlon Australia's Constitution was also reviewed and amended following a Special General Meeting of the company, part of an ongoing to commitment to reflect best practice and modern sporting governance principles.
