2017 Age Group World Championships

Did you know that you can qualify to represent Australia at the Age Group World Championships as part of Team Australia?

The Age Group World Championships are held alongside the Elite World Championships at varying locations around the World each year. We can select up to 20 male and 20 female athletes per age category to represent Team Australia at the World Championships - that's up to 560 athletes per discipline - and you could be one of them!

In order to gain selection on the the Australian Age Group team you must be a member of Triathlon Australia, apply for the team in the distance you would like to race and race in the selection races for the relevant discipline. Your finishing position will determine the number of selection points that you receive, and points are accumulated over the 2016/2017 season.

For the detailed information on how you could be selected to represent Australia as an age group athlete please read the 2017 Australian Age Group Selection Policy which relates to the event you are interested in being selected for. This policy will outline which selection races you will need to compete in and what steps you need to complete to be eligible for the team etc.
