Qualifying Series, Duathlon
Successfully launched in 2010, the Australian National Duathlon Series is an 8 race duathlon series, featuring a high quality duathlon event hosted by each state and territory.
Participants in the series will accrue points to determine the Australian Duathlon Series Champion in each age group. Points accrued during the series will also be used to determine qualification for the Australian Age Group team for the Duathlon World Championships.

The Series for 2011 had a vineyard theme, starting the “Grape Adventure” in the Hunter Valley of NSW and finishing with a flourish in the Barossa Valley which hosted the Grand Final of the Series. The Barossa race also served as the 2011 Australian National Duathlon Championships. Age Group Series prizes will be of high quality, reflecting the “wine and vineyard” theme of the Grand Final location. The 2011 series was made up of the following races:

These races were selected to provide a varied series, making use of attractive venues which enabled participants to plan some winter travel to different areas of Australia. In addition to providing a race of standard duathlon distance, each event also hosted a race of a shorter distance, offering an opportunity for those new to the sport to experience a duathlon.
Presentations of the Australian National Duathlon Champions and the National Duathlon Series Champions will be made at the Triathlon Australia Annual Awards Dinner in Sydney on 15th April 2012.
The 2012 National Duathlon Series will be announced around April time 2012.
