WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A TRIATHLON AUSTRALIA NATIONAL COACHING ACCREDITATION SCHEME (NCAS) ACCREDITATION AND A TRIATHLON AUSTRALIA RECOGNISED PRACTICING COACH (RPC)?

Triathlon Australia National Coaching Accreditation Scheme Accreditation:
If you are a Triathlon Australia member and you have completed any level of coaching course including level 0, level 1, level 2, level 3 and level 4 including submitting all the required documentation you will be accredited with the Australian Sports Commission through the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme.
How long does my National Coaching Accreditation Scheme Accreditation Last?
Your coaching accreditation with the NCAS will be valid for a period of 4 years from the date when you submit your completed paperwork to your State and Territory Association.

Triathlon Australia Recognised Practicing Coach:
If you are a Triathlon Australia member and you have completed any level of coaching course including level 0, level 1, level 2, level 3 and level 4 including submitting all the required documentation you will be accredited with the Australian Sports Commission through the National Coaching Accreditation Scheme. Once you have been accredited with the Australian Sports Commission you then accredit through the Triathlon Australia online membership database as a coach.
If you accredit through the Triathlon Australia online membership database as a coach you will receive as part of your membership coaching insurance.
How long does my Recognised Practicing Coach Accreditation last?
Your accreditation as a recognised practicing coach will be valid for a period of 1 year. Your accreditation will begin when you accredit through the online Triathlon Australia membership database. Accreditations will be taken from the 1st of July each year and will expire on the 30th of June the following year (financial year membership).
Benefits of being a Triathlon Australia Recognised Practicing Coach:
- Registered practicing coaches will receive an individual coaching insurance certificate from the Triathlon Australia Insurance broker.
- Registered practicing coaches will receive official recognition and endorsement from Triathlon Australia by being listed on the Triathlon Australia website as a current practicing accredited triathlon coach.
