2018 mooloolaba itu world cup

March 11 2018

The 2018 world cup calendar will cover a minimum of 10 cities and includes a variety of new and familiar sites, as well as a combination of sprint and standard distances. Mooloolaba is the first race of the 2018 series.

2018 COMMONWEALTH GAMES

April 4-15 2018

Since 1930, Australia has been proudly represented at every Commonwealth Games and in 2018 the Gold Coast will host the 21st Commonwealth Games. It will be the fifth time Australia has staged the Games, and the very first time it will be held in a regional Australian city.

The Gold Coast will welcome athletes, officials and visitors from all over the world, with open arms and warm hearts. The focus will be on the athletes, with the world's best showcased in the pursuit of international sporting excellence. The competition will be passionate and fiercely competitive, but conducted in a fun and friendly environment.

The teams, friends and families will be made to feel right at home by 15,000 of our finest and most dedicated volunteers, and a community intent on delivering a great and memorable Commonwealth Games. From winning that highly sought after gold medal, to sharing the limelight in the Opening Ceremony with the world’s greatest athletes, or holding your sporting heroes shoes while they compete… It will be an event where anything is possible.

2018 ITU WORLD TRIATHLON SERIES GRAND FINAL AND WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

September 12-16 2018

The International Triathlon Union World Series Grand Final and World Championships in September 2018 are expected to attract more than 17,000 visitors and generate more than $19 million in visitor spending for Queensland. Together with the Commonwealth Games, the ITU World Series Grand Final and World Championships will cap off what will be a watershed year for the Gold Coast in 2018.
