Triathlon NSW Development Pathway

Triathlon NSW is excited to advise that we are now seeking Expressions of Interest from athletes to apply for the Triathlon NSW Development Program.

The TNSW Development Program is designed to support and enhance NSW athletes to develop necessary tactical, technical, physiological and psychological skill competencies to aid progression through the National Athlete Pathway.

The Triathlon NSW Development Program is not designed to replace the requirement for an athlete to have a home coached program and Daily Training Environment (DTE), instead, they are designed to enhance their DTE and support Triathlon Australia (TA)Accredited Home Coaches.

The Program is fully aligned with, and under the continued guidance and instruction of, Triathlon Australia‚Äôs National High Performance Program.

The program is one day clinic and overnight camp based, timed around the Australian Youth, Junior& U23 Development Triathlon Series, Oceania ITU Calendar and State &National draft legal racing opportunities. The Program has a specific focus on providing support to young athletes and their home programs to develop skills in the draft legal format of the sport of Triathlon.

The program is designed for athletes to utilise opportunities to develop their skills and knowledge not only within the sport of triathlon, but in life generally. They will make new friends, be exposed to challenges and failure and supported to achieve, progress, learn and develop. The program will provide different outcomes to different athletes, and the athlete will be able to contribute to the success of the program and as such will be able to gain more value from it.

Athletes can now nominate across three programs including:

1. Talent ID Program (athletes aged 13 to 17)
2. Emerging Talent Squad (athletes aged 16 - 19)
3. Under 23 Development Program (athletes aged 18 -23)

Nominations shut on Sunday 18th August at 5 pm!!
