General Information
The TACT Junior Development Program is for triathletes aged 12–19 years of age, who would like to be involved in the sport at a more competitive level. The program has three squads:
- Junior Emerging Talent Squad (JETS)
- Junior Development Squad (JDS)
- Performance Squad (PS)

Athletes
Entry is by application (Athlete Application forms 2013-14 & Athlete Code of Conduct 2013-14) and includes the successful completion of Time Trials (Time Trial criteria).

The squad follows an annual program aligned with the TACT membership year. Athletes successful in their application will need to fulfil all necessary requirements. Athletes must re-apply annually; there are no automatic selections. Squad members, coaches and managers are required to be current members of Triathlon ACT.
Coaches and Managers
Coaches and managers also have to apply at the same period by sending the Coach-Manager Application Form 2013-2014 amend forms and dates and the Coach-Manager Code of Conduct 2013-2014.
ITU ENDORSED JUNIOR TRIATHLETES
Junior triathletes, 16–19 years of age as 31 December 2014, seeking to compete in the Australian Triathlon Junior Series of events, must first become endorsed as an "ITU Junior" triathlete. Refer to the "TA ITU Junior information" document which can be downloaded from the Triathlon ACT Policy page on this website. Endorsements must be processed for sign off well in advance of the planned ITU Junior race event through the TA recognised ACT/NSW National Talent Academy Coach or delegated State Development Coach who is also our Squad Head Coach. Last minute endorsements may not be recognised by the race organisers on the day of competition.
