2020 TNSW Club Championships is now on sale

Registrations are now open for the highly anticipated Triathlon NSW Club Championships, which is scheduled for Saturday 23rd May 2020.

And what better way to end the season and send it off with a bang, then a trip up the coast to one of the most loved destinations on the triathlon landscape – Forster. In fact, earlier this year, Forster was named the best regional destination across the country.

It will once again feature the ‘Half Club’ distance, which will ensure that there is a race for all our members.  The Half Club Distance is ideal for those new to the sport, perhaps intimidated by the length of the Club Distance, or those recovering from injury or just a little lacking in fitness.

“Since joining this organisation over two years ago, I have been up and down the coast and into the country to some spectacular locations, to experience races that feature distances from Enticer through to Ironman Long course. But there is something unique and special about the Club Championships. It’s a celebration of what’s great about our sport, everyone is in their club kits, wearing their club shirts and it’s just a party atmosphere. For those who have never experienced it, make sure you put this date in your diary early , and get there’ CEO Adam Wicks stated.

Just as important as the race itself, the after party will be return to Club Forster and the event will bring together clubs and members from across NSW and the ACT. Whilst some people will be interested in the results from the race, others will be more focussed on the real winners, the club who can take over the dance floor with their moves.

Mark 'Emo' Emerton, CEO of Elite Energy added 'It's pretty special being able to work with Mid Coast Council and Triathlon NSW to take the 2020 Club Championships back to a venue that is so closely associated with triathlon. It is a wonderful location and loved by the community. We can't wait to see triathletes from across the state, join their clubs and represent with pride'.

The Triathlon NSW Club Championships remains the only race in NSW (and Australia for that matter) which is exclusively for Triathlon Australia Members to race and earn points for their clubs.

Once again, across both the Junior and Adult events, holding an annual membership of Triathlon NSW is compulsory.

The event will again feature a ‘Junior Club Championships’ event, which will allow members of Triathlon Australia and a NSW club to race and earn points for the club.

To add some more spice into the mix, the Half and full Club Distance will feature on the Triathlon NSW Interclub Series for the Sydney Triathlon Premier League, Sydney League 1 and Sydney League 2, South Coast, North Coast series as a DOUBLE POINTS ROUND!

If your club can ‘max out’, that’s a whopping 50 points that your club can earn and push yourselves up the leader board of your regional interclub series.
