Congratulations to the following athletes who have been named as part of the 2021/2022 Rest of State Talent Academy (ROSTA) Squad.
The ROSTA was launched last season to service those who do not have access to a Regional Academy of Sport due to their geographic location. Triathlon NSW works in partnership with the six NSW Regional Academies of Sport to offer a parallel program in Tier 1 of our three-tiered pathway model.
Triathlon NSW CEO Adam Wicks is excited by the selection, saying "It's great to see so many new faces to complement the existing crop of talent coming through the Development Pathway. With the inclusion of triathlon in the Western Regions Academy of Sport this season, we've grown the quantity of athletes we can accommodate in the Pathway, and the strong quality of athletes in the ROSTA squad is testament to the great work being done in this space."
We extend our thanks to the ‘Home Coaches’ of the selected athletes, who should be congratulated for the pivotal role they play in their athlete's selection. The program is designed to provide professional development, education and community to the ‘Home Coaches’ as well, with lots more planned this season.
We thank all the athletes who applied, and look forward to bringing together the ROSTA squad for clinics and races when it is possible to do so.
