The Triathlon NSW Foundation Coach Training Program took place last Saturday (December 18), the first of it's kind to be held out of Mingara Recreation Club and the first to be held 'post' Covid-19.
11 coaches took part in the course, lead by TNSW/TACT Coach Education & Pathway Lead, Robyn Low-Hart. The Foundation Coach Training Program (entry level into the National Coaching Framework) is targeted primarily at new coaches to assist a higher accredited coach in a club or squad environment.
Robyn said, "The coaches that are a part of this cohort represent Triathlon Clubs all across the State. Some clubs that have been existing for years, and some that are newly formed. It is exciting to see the enthusiasm of these coaches, their willingness to absorb information and to also share their experiences. An asset to the clubs they represent, I look forward to watching their coaching journey".
If you are looking for a great way to help your community, connect with your club and engage with triathletes, completing your Foundation Coach Training Program is a great way to get involved. If you are already a Foundation Coach and looking to take the next step, the Development Coaching course will help you support the skill development of competitive athletes
