It is with a heavy heart that we inform our members and clubs that Chris Cunningham has advised us will conclude his employment with Triathlon NSW.
His last day with the organisation will be Friday 12th May.
Fortunately for the sport of triathlon, he will be joining Triathlon Australia as National Integrity Manager. It’s superb that he will continue to work with clubs, this time around nationally, so expect to continue hearing from Chris particularly regarding the National Integrity Framework!
It’s been a great 7 years with Chris working for us. He has been responsible for engaging and supporting new clubs to commence their affiliation with us, supporting volunteers as they encounter and resolve issues relating to governance or day to day operations, and supporting and growing our membership.
Chris was single handily responsible for the creation of the Forager Interclub League concept designed as a vehicle to reward and recognise participation and performance all across the state whilst providing a structure for those who desired one.
Now it’s 5th season, it has been wonderful to see the success and joy that it has created for many, all thanks to Chris’ hard work.
A number of clubs would also know Chris intimately having worked through a Club Strategic Planning session with him. This has provided clubs a blueprint to guide their operations and club activities, ensuring volunteers are all aligned and working collaboratively.
With Chris departing, Adam Wicks will be your Triathlon NSW contact to provide any assistance with affiliation, insurance or governance should you require.
He can be contacted on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0438 648 117.
There are also plenty of employees at Triathlon Australia all happy to provide any answers and assistance you need including Head of Clubs Mathew Sundstrom (email@example.com) or National Membership Officer Jade Wilfred (Jade.Wilfred@triathlon.org.au) and you are welcome to reach out to them as well if you need help.
Please join us in farewelling Chris and congratulating him on a superb ‘innings’.
