It brings us great pleasure and excitement to be able to provide the news that ‘all’ community sport can now return from 1 July 2020. That includes both juniors and now encompasses adults as well.
This morning, the Acting Minister of Sport, Hon Geoff Lee made the announcement.
The NSW Government is currently working on checklists and guidelines due for release later this week. Combined with Triathlon Australia’s return to racing document, released last week, season 2020/2021 is shaping up to be bigger and better then ever!
From July 1, clubs can conduct sanctioned races and training. However they will still be required to conduct their training and races safely, follow the guidelines & checklists, practise good hygiene & sanitation and reduce social contact as much as possible.
It should be noted that, unless advised otherwise, all sports are still subject to the current NSW Public Health Orders until 1 July 2020, including:
• Gatherings (training) are still restricted to groups of no more than 10 people;
• Physical distancing rules still apply;
• No training involving contact allowed;
• Change rooms to remain closed – toilets may be available for use. If a toilet is accessed via a change room, the toilet may be used, the change room may not.

With these changes, we are even more excited for a return to normal in season 2020/2021. Please take note of the following dates regarding renewal for the new membership season:
MAY 31: Existing members can log into the ACTIVE member portal to update their details, such as updating your credit card information and address, or to turn your automatic renewal on or off.
JUNE 1: New members can sign up for the 2020/2021 season, meaning you can have up to a 13-month membership that will expire on June 30, 2021.
JUNE 17: Existing members can manually renew their membership ahead of time for the 2020/2021 season.
JULY 1: The 2020/2021 membership season commences, and automatic renewals take place. For those with automatic renewal turned on, please ensure your credit card details are up to date and you have sufficient funds on your card to avoid a failed payment. Update these via the ACTIVE member portal.
*Please note, your 2020/2021 digital membership card will be emailed to you after you renew.
