Triathlon NSW Junior Sprint Series (Orange Race Weekend) will once again be held at the picturesque Gosling Creek Reserve, in the wonderful town of Orange, NSW. This is one of the best value weekend’s away and all aspiring juniors and triathletes are encouraged to attend. It's going to be a super weekend of triathlon!
Delivered by the Orange Triathlon and Cycle Club, supported by Triathlon NSW, this event once again forms a key part of Triathlon NSW’s Junior Development Program and affords athletes a unique opportunity to gain some invaluable draft legal race experience on the Saturday.
Saturday, 1 December will feature an opportunity for ITU draft legal endorsed athletes, to race in a series of heats and finals. All races on the Saturday will be professionally timed and lunch is also included in the price.
The Saturday is perfect for athletes in Regional Academy of Sport programs and Triathlon NSW’s Junior Development Program but also features plenty of opportunity for all athletes to partake in the skills sessions, draft legal transition race and aquathon. All registered athletes will have received quality coaching in both open water swimming and bicycle skills from Triathlon Australia qualified coaches. The day will also include a draft free aquathlon.
Sunday, 2 December will afford a range non-timed race opportunities for non-drafting athletes, for ages 6 + and is FREE for all Triathlon Australia members. Not only are the races free for members, but Orange Triathlon Club will be throwing in a FREE participation medal and lunch for everyone! That’s great value!
Lastly, but certainly not least, the event will feature a TNSW | ITU Mixed Teams Relay (draft legal) opportunity. The Mixed Team Relay format will make its debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games and ongoing, and is a fast, thrilling and furious form of racing that is the future of the sport.
With professionally timed races, lunch provided and included in the price, this is one of the best value weekend’s away and all aspiring triathletes are encouraged to attend.
