If last season taught us anything, it was to expect the unexpected. In a season that could have gone anywhere, we ended up having a really successful season by all metrics – race starts, membership, participation.
As restrictions begin to ease across the state, TNSW together with our Race Partners - have updated the calendar of events for season 2021/2022.
These are the ideal place to etch your name in eternal glory as the NSW Individual Champion across a set distance. Last year, with the goal of raising the profile of those who win these individual titles, Triathlon NSW launched our ‘Hall of Fame’ which will be updated after every event and remain on the Triathlon NSW website as a lasting reminder of those individuals who have excelled in their individual event and age group.
CLICK HERE to view our Hall of Fame from season 2021 / 2022.
And remember, you must be a fully financial member of Triathlon NSW in season 2021/2022 to be considered for the State Championships, so be sure to update your annual membership with Triathlon NSW and your club before you enter the event.
Standard Distance State Championships (1.5KM SWIM, 37KM BIKE, 10KM RUN)
H-Event’s Maitland Triathlon
Date – Sunday 12th December 2021
A bustling port in colonial times, Morpeth is an historic town on the banks of the Hunter River. Take a boat from Newcastle, sample local wines and browse boutique shops in heritage 19th-century buildings, including the bakehouse where the Arnott’s family biscuit dynasty began.
H-Events deliver this wonderful event after its successful return a few seasons back.
While the event also has a Long Course and Sprint distance, be sure to register into that Standard distance to put yourself in the running to win this Individual State Championships event.

Aquabike Standard (1.5KM SWIM, 40KM BIKE)
Elite Energy – Callala Triathlon Festival
Date – Saturday 18th December
I’s the latest event in triathlon circles to be added to the ITU Word Championships. Essentially it’s the same as the Standard distance, just without the run. It’s the swim then through transition 1 and onto the bike and finishing off when the athlete passes into transition 2. Maybe you are suffering from an injury that requires non-impact activity, maybe you just don’t like to run or maybe you have another event on the horizon and don’t want to wear yourself out. With the addition of Aquabike to Callala Triathlon Festival you can now be part of the action.More Info: Aquabike (Standard) | Elite Energy
Cross Tri Standard (1KM SWIM, 25KM MTB, 8KM TRAIL RUN)
In2Adventures TREX (Port Stephens).
Date - Saturday 26th March 2022
The addition of Cross Tri to NSW's program is something that has everyone licking their lips with excitement.
TreX Cross Triathlon Port Stephens features a sea swim in beautiful Fingal bay followed by a Euro-style mountain bike course in Tomaree national park and a spectacular trail run along scenic coastal paths, where whales and dolphins abound.

Elite Energy’s Red Line Games (Sydney International Regatta Centre).
Date - Sunday 10th April 2022
Elite Energy’s newest festival extravaganza is coming to Western Sydney – and it’s a big one!
The Fisocrem Red Line Games will be a three-day extravaganza which could only flow from the innovative mind of Mark ‘Emo’ Emerton. Race, Stay and Play is their slogan, and there will be lots happening across three action packed days.
Elite Energy have redefined the term ‘something for everyone’ at this event, bringing together a range of sports, hobbies and entertainment. But it’s the Long Course Triathlon that will be the focus from Triathlon NSW Members, being the Long Course NSW Individual State Championships.
