Our team had a brilliant experience at the Triathlon NSW activation at Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon Australia in Sydney last weekend! Thank you to everyone for supporting and bringing a positive and fun attitude. It was a brilliant triathlon skills based activity for the aspiring juniors.
Sydney Olympic Park played host to thousands of TRYathletes within the iconic Aquatic Centre and Cathy Freeman Park.
In the lead up to the event, our triathlon development officer, Robyn Low-Hard, visited 28 schools in Camden, Sydney and on the Central Coast.
The objective of each school visit was to share the news about the exciting events coming up, as part of the Weet-Bix TRYathlon Australia events in NSW. The school visit also included explaining what a triathlon is, how transitions work and some students participated in an active demonstration of the the swim, the bike with a scooter board, helmet and handlebars and then off for a run!
It has been encouraging to see so many students and teachers interested in the sport and encouraging of their students participating in the event.
Upcoming Weet-Bix TRYathlon Australia events:
Central Coast – Sunday, 17th February
Camden (Macarthur) – Sunday, 24th February.
