Triathlon Australia announces sanctioning withdrawals

ATTENTION COMMERCIAL RACE DIRECTORS AND CLUBS THAT RUN EVENTS.

It would come as no surprise to anyone that we are currently experiencing unprecedented and significant challenges, and Triathlon Australia and Triathlon NSW has been working diligently through this rapidly changing environment.

As such, please be aware that as of 9:00am on March 19th, 2020 Triathlon Australia has decided to withdraw all sanctioning from events and races on our scheduled calendar until 30th April 2020.

The decision was made by the Triathlon Australia Board at an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday 17th March in order to mitigate the spread of the virus.  We are undertaking all necessary steps to ensure the health and safety of all members and participants.

This is inclusive of triathlon club events and applies to all event irrespective of participant numbers.

There is no doubt this situation is constantly changing, so Triathlon Australia will be regularly reviewing the situation, and will provide timely updates and changes to this if they occur.  As always, we are here to support you should you have any questions.

If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to contact either Triathlon Australia via email at Triathlon Australia events@triathlon.org.au | technical@triathlon.org.au or Triathlon NSW via email (adam.wicks@nsw.triathlon.org.au).
