Triathlon New South Wales (TNSW) is pleased to announce a new Community Sports Link Partnership with BodyMindSol which is set to assist in our drive to improve the health and wellbeing of TNSW Members.
The Community Sports Link Program is an initiative of TNSW that seeks to develop mutually beneficial partnerships with a wide variety of other community organisations and franchises, to enable collaboration between partners towards a common goal of improving the health and well-being of our communities.
All TNSW’s Community Sports Link Partners provide opportunities for cross promotion of regular physical activity which is recognised as one of the best ways to improve one’s health and wellbeing.
Established in 2010, BodyMindSol is one of Sydney’s premier Pilates and yoga companies specialising in movement, mindfulness and meditation.
TNSW’s values of health, achievement, courage, belonging and respect, are all transferable to the values and offerings of BodyMindSol, whose mission is to bring greater wellbeing to all their clients.
“The partnership with BodyMindSol creates a mutually beneficial synergy between two organisations who are passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of the community,” TNSW CEO Phil Dally said.
“Being healthy should not just be thought of in a physical sense; it should also incorporate mental and emotional wellbeing and BodyMindSol will greatly assist in all of these areas for our Members, which will complement their performance and training for Triathlon.”
BodyMindSol has a home base studio located in Andrew Boy Charlton Pool and an arrangement with the Sydney Olympic Park, entailing that there is a central location in both the East and the West of the Sydney Region. In addition to this, instructors at BodyMindSol also have the capability to travel to conduct private and group classes.
As part of the partnership with BodyMindSol, TNSW Members will receive:
1) A free initial class for per Member.
2) A 20% discount off the retail price of each subsequent Pilates, yoga or meditation class (studio sessions, private sessions, external group sessions and corporate bookings included).
3) A monthly article from BodyMindSol published in the TNSW newsletter.
4) The option to hire the BodyMindSol studio located in Andrew Boy Charlton Pool for club or group bookings.
After working with organisations and individuals such as TNSW Community Sports Link Partner Wests Tigers, the NRL referees and World Record Holder and Gold Medallist winning Paralympic Swimmer Ben Austin, BodyMindSol founder Sol Walkling is excited about the partnership with TNSW and working with individuals and groups within the Triathlon community.
“We're delighted to be partnering with Triathlon NSW to provide services to clubs and individual athletes,” Walkling said. “The partnership has grown from my personal interest in triathlon and participation in endurance sports as well as seven years’ experience in providing Pilates, yoga, meditation and other mindfulness modalities to athletes at grassroots and elite level.
“We design our sessions and programs to the individual and group, which is quite unusual in the yoga space, and adds an element of safety and specificity to our approach. We know how to prevent and rehabilitate injuries and teach classes in small dedicated groups with hands-on assistance.
“Our central studio at ABC Pool in the Domain is uniquely positioned with the pool and great running tracks right outside which allows our athletic clients to combine training and stretch or restoration and relaxation poolside.
“We look forward to working with the Members of Triathlon NSW towards helping you achieve peak performance in your sport, work and life.”
