$100 million for Regional Sporting Facilities

Last week the State Government announced an additional $100 million to go towards funding sporting facilities in regional NSW.

This is separate to the Regional Sport Infrastructure Fund which was announced last year, also with $100 million for allocation.

The new $100 million will be accessible through the Stronger Country Communities Fund, with the program opening for applications from next Monday 12 March and closing on Friday 4 May. With the full $100 million to be allocated solely to sporting infrastructure projects this is an opportunity which sports should not miss.

Importantly, please note that applications can only be submitted by Councils in regional NSW. Sporting bodies should be making contact with Local Councils in regional areas as a matter of priority to ensure that projects can be identified and applications submitted prior to the deadline.
