TriActive Pilot Program


Triathlon NSW, in conjunction with Sydney Triathlon Group (STG) is excited to be piloting a TriActive program commencing Tuesday 6th March

About TriActive

Originally created by Triathlon Victoria, it's goal is to offer individuals who have never done a Triathlon before, a social, nurturing and supportive entry into the sport, with the eventual goal of completing a short Triathlon, and potentially transitioning into the Affiliated Club Network.

To remove the barrier of owing a bike, the majority of fitness will occur in a Spin Studio. Participants are asked to obtain a bike (borrow from a friend or family) for only two occasions. The program will feature an open water swim session to ensure the participant gains confidence in the ocean and also a Bike / transition session in Centennial Park.

Who can take part?

TRIactive has been developed for adults who would like to be a bit more active and take on the new challenge of triathlon, but don't really know how to get started.

Triathlon is a sport that anyone can take part in and the aim of TRIactive is to encourage you to participate in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment with like-minded people in a twice-weekly exercise programme designed to help you achieve the goal of completing your first mini triathlon consisting of a 300 metre swim, an 10 km bike ride and a 2 km run.

UNSW Gym (Building B5, Gate 2,  High St) - 06/03, 20/03, 27/03 and 03/04
Swim Sessions: Cook and Phillip Pool (4 College Street, Sydney) - 8/03, 22/03, 29/03 and 05/04
Open Water Swim: @Clovelly Beach (6 pm - 7 pm) - 15/03
Bike Skills / Transition familiarisation session: @Centennial Park (9.30 am. - 11.30 am) - 17/03

Event: Triathlon NSW Super Sprint Series (Race 2) - Sunday 8th April 2018

Cost: $250 (includes 10 coached sessions and two weeks post event training with STG).
Note - entry to the goal event is a separate cost required, however Triathlon NSW will distribute a discount code in Week 1 of the program.
