Staff Profile Tim Harradine

Tim began with Triathlon Queensland in January of 2015 and oversees the day-to-day running of Triathlon Queensland’s business—including governance and strategic leadership, managing finances, human resources, developing stakeholder relationships, race operations, partner engagement, and service to the Board and members.

Tim comes to triathlon after four years of service to the 17,000 members and 200 clubs of Baseball New South Wales.  Tim was the Chief Executive Officer and was also responsible for overseeing the operations of the Sydney Blue Sox professional team playing in the Australian Baseball League. Staff Profile Nick McGowan Christie
  Staff Profile Emma McCarthy

Nick is the main point of contact for Membership, Finance, Volunteer Compliance (Blue Card), taking care of Triathlon Queensland's on-site and online IT systems as well as assisting Triathlon Australia with the development of their national IT infrastructure, in which he implemented a national roll-out of a unified accounting platform and the move towards the cloud to drive state association collaboration across the country.

Previously employed with the Scout Association of Queensland, Nick has a great deal of experience working with Non-Profit, Membership and Volunteer driven organisations. Nick holds a Bachelor of International Business, a Certificate IV in Web Design and a Certificate III in Network Administration.

Emma was an experienced elite athlete, having represented Australia on the international rowing stage, including the London 2012 Olympics, where she was the reserve.  A number of injury setbacks brought her rowing career to an early end in 2013, but with an undying love of the sport, she switched to coaching school aged rowers and still spends many early mornings on the Brisbane River.

With an athletic background, a Bachelor of Business in Event Management and Sport Management and experience within a number of other sporting organisations, Emma helped build our participation numbers in QLD through the development of the Kids Challenge and associated school ambassador program.

After two years in the Events & Programs role, Emma has moved across to the Commercial & Marketing position, with the aim of building triathlon's profile with the support of corporate partners.

While completing a triathlon has always been on Emma’s bucket list, the cobwebs gathering on her road bike may mean this is a pipeline dream.
