Redcliffe Triathlon Club Weet-Bix Kids TRYstars Holiday program

Wednesday 27 September 2017 8am-1pm - John Oxley Reserve, Murrumba Downs. 

Learn swim, bike and run skills in this TRYstars program run by Redcliffe Triathlon Club.  At the end, you will also experience your first Aquathlon!  Includes Triathlon Australia & Redcliffe Triathlon Club membership, insurance, accredited coaching and TRYstars participant pack.

15 October 2017 9.30am-12.30pm - Ipswich State High School.

MY FIRST TRIATHLON

Doing your first triathlon is exciting and you could be ready to give it a go! You can use any bike and there are events for kids aged 7 years and over, right across Queensland.

How far are kids triathlons?

  • Mini Kids (7 - 9 years) can be up to 100m swim, 3km ride and
    500m run
  • Kids (10 - 13 years) can be up to 200m swim, 6km ride and a 1km run

 

What you'll need:

  • Goggles and swim suit (you can wear a rash shirt)
  • Bike and Helmet (Doesn't have to be a road bike)
  • Running shoes, socks and hat
  • Water bottle

What you'll get in your race kit:
  • Swim cap
  • Race numbers
  • Timing chip

TIP: Put your race tattoos on before your sunscreen! Also, it's handy to have some spare pins for your race number.
