This year's Barossa Duathlon on Sunday 14 September provides the perfect preparation for Adelaide's Australian Duathlon Championships on 19 October.
The Barossa Duathlon is Race 1 of the Triathlon SA State Series and the State Duathlon Championship. The event features both standard and sprint distances as well as a fun 'Tuffkidz' race for children 7 to 13 years of age.
Automatic qualification to the Age Group Team, to compete in Adelaide's 2015 Duathlon World Championships, will also be given to athletes who win the State Duathlon Championship either sprint distance or standard distance in their home state. This qualification must be validated by competing in and finishing a National Qualifying Series race.
A feature of this course is the ride over Menglers Hill as used in the Tour Down Under.
Athletes and supporters can also treat themselves to a sumptious post event lunch at Seppeltsfield for $25 and receive a complimentary bottle of wine.
Take advantage of the early bird entries rate for this year's Barossa Duathlon by getting your entry in prior to 16 August.
