Meteors Club Coach
About the role
Our club is seeking expressions of interest from qualified Triathlon Coaches to take the reins in leading our club’s training options, both currently offered and, in the development, and hosting of a comprehensive suite of swim, bike, run and complimentary training opportunities for adults and juniors alike.
Meteors Triathlon Club are one of South Australia’s largest affiliated Triathlon Clubs, with members ranging from juniors to elite and iron-distance athletes. At Meteors we actively promote a culture of friendship, fitness, and competition… So whether you want to get fit and healthy for your first tri, or are going for that Kona qualification we have the resources to help you on your journey. Many of our members have started triathlon with the club with no experience of the sport.
Our club coach will be someone who understands that a triathlon club is a diverse family with diverse goals and while our aims may be different, we love to get together and train. Additionally, the successful applicant will appreciate that the club coach plays a pivotal role with the club’s culture and the right fit is as important as athlete results. The role will include the running of group training sessions, training advice within our regular member’s newsletter and social media,
- Have experience in group training in a triathlon context
- Have experience in annual training plans in a triathlon context, preferably within the TrainingPeaks platform
- Experience in the development and evaluation of programs in a club environment
- Experience in planning and running club events
- Have a passion for the sport of triathlon
- Minimum Triathlon Australia Development Coach
- First Aid Certificate
- Perform CPR
- SA Working with Children
As club coach, you will have the ability to operate within our club in a fee for service environment. This can include providing sessions to our members on a pay-per-session basis, paying per month/fortnight, a combination of, or via other means. Our committee is seeking proposals from suitable candidates that show an innovative solution that breaks the mould and propels our club forward.
