Tempo Systems Triathlon Club are excited to announce the hosting of a School Holiday training camp in Adelaide between the 8th and of 12th July.
The camp is open to all Youth, Junior and U/23 athletes and will be focussed on both fundamental skill development as well as developing age specific fitness components to set a foundation for summer racing.
The camp venue is Westminster School, where athletes will benefit from a wide range of training and education opportunities. Athletes will stay on site in self-contained accommodation and will utilise the amazing school grounds and facilities at within as well as other close by venues.
The camp will be coached by Triathlon Australia accredited coaches with all sessions and education sessions offered in a fun, safe, inclusive learning environment.
Education sessions will include an interactive session run by ASADA that is specific to juniors in sport, professionals on topics such as injury prevention for junior and developing athletes and Diet and supplementation in junior and developing athletes
The camp will also include a 1-day option, where all budding young athletes are encourages to attend who may have an interest in the national development pathway. Th session will focus on the National Athlete passport activities including swim bike and run skill and fitness benchmarks. This is a great way for swimmers, cyclists and runners to dip their toes in to our sport and see how they like it.
The timing of the camp is perfect, a couple of days after the first of the Tri Sa duathlon series races. I would encourage as many camp attendees to book this duathlon in so that the requirements of racing are fresh in our minds as we start camp.
