Victorian State Series
Triathlon Victoria is delighted to announce the 2016-17 Victorian Triathlon State Series events. The Victorian Triathlon State Series is designed to encourage and reward both our affiliated clubs and individual members to race more often and across the variety of multisport disciplines and triathlon distances. In 2015-16 the series saw over 2200 member’s race in one or more of the state series events and we have an ambitious target to increase this to over 2500 this year.
Triathlon Victoria's official bike partner Swift Carbon is a major supporter of the series. Swift will once again provide two bikes in the major prize draw (one male and one female winner) eligible for members who race in the series. Every time you race in a state series event you receive a free entry into the major prize draw and could be riding home on a new Swift G2 Attack valued at over $3500. Swift Carbon offers a year round 15% off discount to Triathlon Victoria members and specialise in outstanding service and bike fitting for all types of riders.
The 2016/17 Victorian State Series (State Series) title is awarded to both individuals (State Series Award) and clubs/squads (State Series Shield) based on results from selected multisport events across the 2016/17 season. Individuals must be either a direct member of Triathlon Australia or a member of a Victorian affiliated triathlon club/squad and hence a Triathlon Australia member to be eligible. State Series Award winners will be ranked in age groups and accrue points from the designated ‘state series’ events. Organisations must be recognised as an affiliated club/squad to be eligible for the State Series Shield and will be classified according to their size/type. In addition there will be a single Performance Club Award details of which can be found in the series rules.
