‘Bike better for triathlon workshop’ Report
Presented by:
Ryan Mannix (Australian Elite Duathlete/International runner),
Brendan Sexton (Australian Olympic Triathlete) and
Jonathan Cantwell (Australian Professional Cyclist)
As part of the new continual education structure that Triathlon Victoria are now providing, Saturday saw a mix of both athletes and coaches attend a three hour workshop on 'How to bike better for Triathlon'.
The workshop was both a mix theory and practical, covering everything about the cycling aspect of triathlon. The very experienced team of presenters were able draw from their own experience and expertise to cover a range of topics, from setting up and maintaining a bike, racing, training and body maintenance.
There was a vast range of experience from those that attended but it was evident that even those who had been in the sport for over 20 years were still able to draw from new ideas and ways to approach both training and racing.
This will be one of five workshops throughout the year. A wonderful way to keep learning and improving not only knowledge but also performance. By Ryan Mannix.
What they said about the workshop:
“I thought the course was fantastic and I really got some great tips out of it.”
“I would like to see these events to continue so hopefully there will be more in the future.”
