About Triathlon Australia
Triathlon Australia is the official National Sporting Organisation responsible for the management and delivery of the sports of triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon and multisport within Australia.
Our Vision is:
To be the leading triathlon nation and grow the sport of triathlon in Australia
Triathlon Australia (TA) has 8 affiliated State and Territory Triathlon Associations. Known as the STTAs, they are the official members of the national body. In addition we have approximately 10,000 individual members and 180 affiliated triathlon clubs.
The premier competition delivered by TA is the Australian National Triathlon Championship Series; a 3 race series comprising both Elite and Age Group races. Elite athletes are able to earn ITU points while age-group athletes who are annual members, compete for the National Series Champion title in their age group. TA is also responsible for the delivery of the National Duathlon Series comprised of 8 Duathlon races, one in each state; the Australian Elite Junior Series; and National Championship races in each discipline: Olympic Distance, Sprint Distance, Long Distance, and Duathlon.
