Michelle Cooper    President

An accomplished keynote and motivational speaker, Michelle takes her professional background in behavioural change and delivers powerful personal examples of successfully navigating change, for individuals and organisations. Michelle is a professional coach and mentor and has a passion for connection at all levels of an organisation. Recently Michelle’s professional focus has been on the national merger integration of a professional membership association where she was driven by a strong desire to ensure value for all. 

Michelle has previously held the position of Independent Director on the Triathlon Queensland board. Michelle is an age-group athlete, club owner and coach and whilst having conquered the full gamut of triathlon distances many times over including Ironman, she is yet to tackle an enticer!  

Stuart Corbishley Vice-President

Stuart Corbishley

Stuart is an experienced sports lawyer and administrator who advises state, national and international governing bodies on a range of legal, commercial, governance and integrity matters. Stuart headed up the legal teams at the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games and at AFC Asian Cup Australia 2015, and was involved in establishing Cricket Australia’s men’s and women’s Big Bash Leagues, Netball Australia’s Suncorp Super Netball competition and Athletics Australia’s Nitro Athletics.

Stuart is currently General Counsel & Company Secretary of Invictus Games Sydney 2018 and General Counsel of Football Federation Australia’s FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Bid. Stuart is also a member of Athletics Australia’s Ethics & Integrity Committee.  Previously, Stuart was a Director & the Secretary of the Australian and New Zealand Sports Law Association.

Having completed his first triathlon in 2018, Stuart remains in awe of the dedication, determination and achievement of participants at every level of our sport.

Natalie Edwards

Natalie is a qualified chartered accountant and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She has over 20 years financial and risk management expertise and previously held the position of Interested Director on the Triathlon New South Wales Board.

Natalie is passionate about triathlon in particular given the opportunity, challenge, achievement and belonging that the sport can provide. From having been ‘conscripted’ into a corporate triathlon as an absolute beginner 10 years ago, she is now a very active competitor across all distances from sprint to Ironman, and has represented both Great Britain and Australia at age group level. 

Nicole Donegan

Nicole has been the Principal & Director of StrategyCo for more than thirteen years, where she has extensively advised prominent organisations, institutions, associations and government in the areas of member satisfaction, client & stakeholder research, corporate governance, marketing, branding and strategic planning. Nicole currently also serves as Marketing Director for START Foundation and was a founding Director of Men’s Health Australia (Foundation49) from 2008-2013.

Since becoming involved with triathlon and joining a club three years ago, Nicole and one of her sons have developed a great love for the sport and all that it brings, competing mainly in OD and 70.3 events.  Certainly not a natural or fast athlete, Nicole sees herself as a true representative for late starter age-groupers and believes that if she can do it, anyone can. 

Alex Gosman    

Alex is a long-term Canberra resident, and has had extensive industry experience over the past 30 years, including leadership of several industry associations and executive positions with Ericsson Australia and GlaxoSmithKline.

He has been an avid “surburban” triathlete for the past 30 years, although he is now more focused on ocean swimming and coaching. He is heavily involved in the administration of the sport, including three years as Chair of Triathlon ACT and the TA Future Model of Operations committee

Alex also umpires Aussie Rules, and is active in a range of not-for-profits and charity organisations in the ACT.. 

David Tucker

David Tucker has worked in the Sports Industry for over 20 years.  Having held senior sports marketing and commercial roles with NIKE in Australia and the UK, David moved to NIKE Inc as Managing Director of Manchester United Merchandising and Director of NIKE's Football Business Units.  After 15 years with NIKE, David left to lead Football Federation Australia's (FFA) commercial efforts as Head of Commercial.

Overseeing the delivery and execution of all of FFA's Broadcasting, Sponsorship, Licensing, Digital and Events related revenue, David successfully secured and renewed key partners and created all commecial, broadcasting and event elements of Manchester United's record breaking Australian Tour in 2013.

David subsequently became CEO of Infinite Retail, Australia's largest sports merchandising business before managing the sale of Infinite Retail to rebel sport and forming the sports consultancy business, TCA.  Through TCA, David works with a variety of international sporting companies and rights holders across sponsorship, events, digital, future technology and merchandising..

Fifteen-year career as a Director at KPMG, 2003 – 2018.  Currently, Non-Executive Director of Commonwealth Games Australia and Workways Australia. Former Board member of Netball Victoria, 2013 – 2020. Deep knowledge of NFP, sport and community-based organisations. An Associate Director with VUCA Trusted Advisors, a boutique advisory firm providing governance, strategy, board performance review and executive search services. 

Expert in client/customer experience, analysis and translation of feedback to increase retention, drive profitable growth and enable orgnisational change. Extensive experience working closely with CEOs, Executives and Boards to increase performance, deliver on brand promise and achieve financial and strategic objectives. Strong strategy, governance and marketing skills and capabilities. 

An experienced Executive, successfully leading and motivating teams to enable organisational and behavioural change to embed a customer centric culture. High performer in the business and sporting arena who contributes to success by engaging everyone on the journey. Experienced at influencing and advising boards and committees. 

Former Netball player and coach at state and national level. Melbourne based, I love all sport and exercise that promotes a healthy life style and creates community engagement. I’m excited to be contributing towards the success and growth of Triathlon Australia. I am driven by my purpose every day, to enable others to shine and succeed.
