Important Note to all 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Applicants:

Due to the challenging and ever-changing global health pandemic Triathlon Australia urges all Australian age group athletes to consider the current domestic climate including but not limited to health risks, potential event postponements or cancellations, Australian State and Territory Government domestic border closures etc when deciding to undertake potential selection for the 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team. Triathlon Australia shall not be responsible or liable in any way to anyone for any consequence of Australian State and Territory Government domestic border closures or 2021/2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team selection event postponements or cancellations.

The 2022 World Triathlon Age Group Multisport World Championships may be postponed or cancelled at a later date either by World Triathlon and or the local organising committees. Athletes should be aware that World Triathlon and/or the local organising committees in Townsville, Australia may require event participants to undertake pre-travel and pre-event health checks and to comply with health and safety directions at the event.

Triathlon Australia at its discretion may not select a 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team to attend the 2022 World Triathlon Age Group Multisport World Championships in Townsville, Australia for reasons including but not limited to Australian Government international travel restrictions, Australian State and Territory Government border closures and health risks to athletes. Triathlon Australia shall not be responsible or liable in any way to anyone for any consequence of a decision not to select a 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team (Townsville, Australia).

The 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team is fully self-funded. Athletes should carefully consider the financial obligations before deciding to seek selection for the 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team.

Reminder Triathlon Australia Membership:

2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Selection points will not be awarded to relevant Triathlon Australia members if the Triathlon Australia member does not enter their relevant Triathlon Australia membership number, correct date of birth and their full correctly spelled first and last names which match their relevant Triathlon Australia membership details at the time of entering each individual nominated selection event. # Relevant Triathlon Australia Membership means a current annual Triathlon Australia membership in the full Adult, Family, Junior or Coach categories but excludes all Non-Competing/Non-training membership categories.

Individual Age Group Athlete Email Communication in 2021/2022 

Due to the number of age group athletes seeking selection for the 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team (over 3000 athletes), individual age group athletes may not receive a personal email response to team selection questions if the answer is located in the 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Selection Policy or found on the 2022 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Selection website pages.
