Lake Kawana, Sunshine Coast

Returning for it’s 14th year, the Aquathlon and Triathlon provide both an entry level opportunity and school region selection level event for kids aged 7-18.

It's also where we crown the Champion School – where a combination of performance and participation points rank school against school for the title (and trophy).

Our event is run on a safe course with water safety, closed roads and smooth paths. The Lake Kawana location showcases some of the best sporting facilities in the area. This event also has an established COVID-safe plan to ensure safety of all persons attending.

In a change from previous years, this event also includes the Queensland Aquathlon, a swim/run event open to all ages not competing for school selection. This event serves as a state championship event and Triathlon Queensland State Series race.

To ensure a safe event, the schedule has been changed so that all Aquathlon events will be conducted on Saturday afternoon, with the Triathlon events being conducted on Sunday morning.

For more information on regional team selection for Queensland School Sport Triathlon Championships, please contact your Regional School Sport office for clarification on their team selection policies.
