Overview

The Jackie Fairweather Memorial Triathlon is a unique event combining both individual and team triathlon events. 

The event incorporates the following:

• 2021 Australian Youth Mixed Team Relay Championships 
  • State & Territory selected Teams (Mix teams will be eligible for national title)
  • 2 x Relay races with overall combined time determining the placings
  • Race 1 order will be Male / Female / Male / Female
  • Race 2 order will be Female / Male / Female / Male
  • teams that have 3 athletes (as long as 1 of each gender) will be able to compete however won't be eligible for national title.
    
    
  2021 Australian Junior Mixed Team Relay Championships  
  • State & Territory selected Teams (Mix teams will be eligible for national title)
  • 2 x relay races with overall combined time determining the placings
  • Race 1 Order will be Male / Female / Male / Female
  • Race 2 Order will be Female / Male / Female / Male
  • Teams that have 3 athletes (as long as 1 of each gender) will be able to compete however won't be eligible for national title.
    
    
  2021 Australian Youth and Junior Series & Australian Youth Championships Link 
  • 1 x Supersprint Triathlon race to determine the Youth National Champion and Junior National Series Race Placings.

• 2x Youth Mixed Team Relay (Saturday AM) - 200m Swim (1 lap) / 4.2km Cycle (2 laps) / 1.2km Run (1 laps) - The cycle is Draft-Legal as per ITU rules
• 1x Super Sprint (Sunday AM) - 250m Swim (1 lap) / 6.5km Cycle (1 lap) / 1.6km Run (1 lap)

Australian Junior Series (ITU Draft-Legal Endorsement required)

• Junior 16-19 (Born 2002, 2003, 2004 or 2005) - Age as at 31 December 2021
  
• Athlete Guide - N/A

Parking & Road Closures

Parking is available on: 

• John Cardiff Close and the first section of Garryowen Drive until 6am (Saturday) and 6am (Sunday), when the first road closures will come into place.
• After 6am (Saturday) and 6am (Sunday) you will need to park on Clunies Ross Street in allocated car parking areas, and walk in (1-2km walk). 

Road Closures will take effect on Black Mountain Peninsula from 6am to 2.30pm (Saturday) and 6am to 2.30pm (Sunday) on the following roads:

• Garryowen Drive and John Gordon Close from Lady Denman Drive
• Lady Denman Drive between Parkes Way and Burringiri Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture Centre
• Lady Denman Drive from Burringiri Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Culture Centre to Cotter Road (6am 
• All participants need to ride on the left side of the road and be aware that a limited amount of race approved traffic maybe out on the course during the event.
• If the course is clear and equipment is packed up off the cycle course before 2.30pm, the roads will be open earlier.
