What inspired you to take up triathlon?
My friend and I were trying to loose weight and get healthier. We were getting very bored just going to the gym each morning and getting nothing out of it. We decided to join the Vikings Triathlon Novice program and have never looked back......we have both come a long way and thoroughly enjoy training and competing in events!
What is your favourite training session?
Early morning run as the sun is rising
What is the toughest challenge you have had to face in life and how did you overcome it?
Taking the giant step forward to change my lifestyle to be healthier & fitter which made me happier. Having my family & friends support was what got me through.
What advice would you give to a first time triathlete?
Have fun! Don’t think about it just get out there and finish.
What do you love about triathlon the most?
Exercising with great people and having fun at the same time.
Who do you think is the most influential person in the world and why?
Anyone can be influential in their own way
What is unique about triathlon that is different to any other sport?
The atmosphere and encouragement from other people that you don’t even know.
If you could change something about triathlon, what would you do?
Nothing that I can think of

Water, food, my wife, my kids, shelter
