Well that's the NSW Club Championships done and dusted for another year...
This year's Club Championships saw Gosling Creek Reserve in Orange host the event for the first time and it was a raging success.
It was wonderful to hear the plethora of positive responses from the participants and the attendees and the way it which it grew the sport of triathlon in the Central West of NSW.
Triathlon NSW would like to thank 100% Events, Multi-Sport Australia, Orange City Council, Hotel Canobolas, Kennards Hire, Ribble Bikes, Zane’s Water Safety and all of the 100+ volunteers for making the event the success that it was.
Last but not least, we would like to thank all of our fantastic clubs for their support and passion for the event. As always, the Club Championships was competed in the right spirit and it was brilliant to witness everyone wearing their club colours with pride and supporting one another.
The event was also historically significant as it was the first time that Hills Tri Club took out the Division 1 title. After years of heartbreak, having come second five times in the last seven years, the ecstatic celebration from President Tommy Morwood and the Hills Tri Club members at the Presentation Night at Hotel Canobolas was a brilliant way to end the 2017 Club Championships.
Congratulations to the following winners:
Juniors - Orange Cycle & Triathlon Club - The Piranhas
Regional - Orange Cycle & Triathlon Club - The Piranhas
Division 3 - Sydney Triathlon Group
Division 2 - Orange Cycle & Triathlon Club - The Piranhas
Division 1 - Hills Tri Club
