Tim began with Triathlon Queensland in January of 2015 and oversees the day-to-day running of Triathlon Queensland’s business—including governance and strategic leadership, managing finances, human resources, developing stakeholder relationships, race operations, partner engagement, and service to the Board and members. 

Tim comes to triathlon after four years of service to the 17,000 members and 200 clubs of Baseball New South Wales.  Tim was the Chief Executive Officer and was also responsible for overseeing the operations of the Sydney Blue Sox professional team playing in the Australian Baseball League. Under Tim’s leadership, Baseball saw significant increase in participation, development of local facilities, the integration of the ABL team, and roll out of a national entry point program.  Tim is now looking to bring many of these successes to Triathlon.  

Prior to his time with Baseball NSW, Tim spent twelve years in the United States in the College and High School system.  Tim has an earned Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and a Degree in Business Administration. He now resides in Brisbane with his two daughters Olivia and Ellie.

Carol joined the Triathlon Queensland in late 2019, working with clubs and event directors to provide race sanctioning and insurance, as well as coordinating Queensland's vast team of technical officials. 

Carol comes with over 20 years' experience working as an insurance underwriter for AMP in Sydney and AIA in Queensland, and is eager to bring her corporate working knowledge to help support the technical program within TQ.

Carol is also an avid triathlete, with many race starts to her name and three daughters who all are in TQ's Junior Development program. A love for all aspects of the sport drove Carol to take the job with TQ, to chase her passion for triathlon.

Mathew joined the Triathlon Queensland team in late 2019 and is responsible for the Athlete and Coach development across Queensland.

Mathew’s role is to provide opportunities for athletes and coaches to grow and develop through the delivery of strategic initiatives, administrative assistance, and support to individuals.  The implementation of strategic and other targeted initiatives is aligned through our National Coaching and High-Performance units. 

With a Bachelor Degree in Sports Business, Mathew has spent the last 10+ years in sports administration at the State and National Level. Most recently, as the General Manager for Participation with Baseball Australia, where he worked in national roles relating to participation, performance, coaching, and competitions.  

Mathew is a former professional athlete and is keen to share his expertise to grow development and participation across Queensland. 

Nick is the main point of contact for Membership, Finance, Volunteer Compliance (Blue Card), taking care of Triathlon Queensland's on-site and online IT systems as well as assisting Triathlon Australia with the development of their national IT infrastructure, in which he implemented a national roll-out of a unified accounting platform and the move towards the cloud to drive state association collaboration across the country.

Previously employed with the Scout Association of Queensland, Nick has a great deal of experience working with Non-Profit, Membership and Volunteer driven organisations. Nick holds a Bachelor of International Business, a Certificate IV in Web Design and a Certificate III in Network Administration.
