AusTriathlon is proud to launch the Club Grand Final, part of the Gold Coast T100 Triathlon.

A national celebration of club and squad performance, passion, and community spirit. Bringing together athletes from across Australia to compete in both the Olympic and 100k formats, this event will crown the nation’s best club and squad in an unforgettable showcase of endurance, teamwork, and pride.

 

Club Grand Final Format

 

The AusTriathlon Club Grand Final brings together clubs and squads from across the country to battle it out for national glory. With two divisions, Clubs (Not-for-Profit) and Squads. (Commercial Operators) Points are earned by the top 10 finishers in each age category, making every performance count towards the ultimate team title.

Scoring – Points will be awarded to the top 10 finishers in each age category

1st – 20 Points

2nd – 18 points

And so on, down to 2 points for 10th place

Age Groups

Olympic: 16-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc

100k: 18-19, 20-24, 25-29 etc

To be eligible to earn points for your club you must hold a current Standard or Premium AusTriathlon Membership.

The AusTriathlon Club Grand Final brand new for 2026 so we know plenty of you will have some questions. We have tried to collate some FAQ’s below, if you still have a question, please email info@triathlon.org.au

 

What is the 2026 AusTriathlon Club Grand Final?

The Grand Final is a national club-based competition held during the Gold Coast T100 Triathlon on 21–22 March 2026, where affiliated clubs and squads compete for points and awards.

Who can participate?

Any athlete who is a financial member of AusTriathlon for the 2025/26 season with a Standard or Premium Club Membership.

What defines a Club or Squad?
  • Club: A community-based, not-for-profit entity affiliated with AusTriathlon and a State/Territory Triathlon Association (STTA). 
  • Squad: A commercially operated group led by accredited coaches, approved by AusTriathlon. 
How do athletes nominate their club?

During registration for the Gold Coast T100, athletes must select their club. Changes can be made via the Race Dashboard until midday Thursday, 12 March 2026.

Can athletes change their nominated club?

Yes, but only before the 12 March 2026 deadline.

What rules govern the race?

The event will be conducted under AusTriathlon Race Rules.

Can athletes earn points in multiple events?

No. Athletes can only earn points in one event. If they compete in multiple, only the highest point score will count.

What happens if an athlete is disqualified?

Disqualified athletes will receive no points.

How are points awarded?

Points are based on finishing position among eligible competitors in their Age Group: 

  • 1st = 20 points 
  • 2nd = 18 points 
  •  
  • 10th = 2 points 
What distances and age groups are eligible?

Points are awarded for participation in the correct distance for each age group. Age groups range from 16–19 up to 80+.

What awards are given at the Grand Final?
  • Champion Club: Top 3 clubs with highest aggregate scores 
  • Champion Squad: Top 3 squads with highest aggregate scores 
When and where is the awards ceremony?

At the Gold Coast T100 presentations on Sunday, 22 March 2026.

While every club is different, most offer some mix of community, structure, and opportunity that can make your Triathlon journey more enjoyable and sustainable.
