Race for your club in the ultimate club competition. Earn points for your club towards the QLD Club Champions title and a share of the $9,000 prize pool at the AusTriathlon QLD Club Championship.
The Pho3nix Queensland Tri Series Round 2: Moreton Bay will host the 2024 QLD Club Championships on 6 October 2024.
Eligibility
Athlete
The only event where points can be earned for the Club Championships is the Pho3nix QTS Race 2 Moreton Bay, to be held at Pelican Park, Clontarf, Queensland on Sunday, 6 October 2024.
Only financial Basic, Standard or Premium Club members of AusTriathlon for the 2024/25 season are eligible to earn points for their club, with the exception for Social members who officiate at the event.
Participants need to nominate their club on their registration form for the QTS Race 2 Moreton Bay. The nominated club will be the ONLY club the individual can earn points for in the Club Championships. Participants will be responsible for notifying AusTriathlon of their club affiliation no later than midday, Monday 30 September 2024. It is the athlete’s responsibility to ensure that they have declared the correct club.
Point Allocations
Participation
Points will be allocated as follows:
- One (1) participation point will be allocated to each eligible participant’s nominated club, for competing in any of the following races: Classic Triathlon, Sprint Triathlon, Enticer Triathlon, Pho3nix Kids Triathlon and Teams* (Sprint and Classic Distance Teams) *In order for your Team to earn a participation point in these events, your team members must ALL be Eligible Participants and be affiliated members from your team’s club.
- One (1) participation point will be allocated to each Technical Official’s nominated club, for officiating at the The Phoenix Queensland Tri Series Round 2: Moreton Bay Triathlon for each day they officiate.
Competition
Points will be allocated as follows:
- Allocated to eligible QLDTriathlon club members holding a Basic, Premium or Standard 2024/25 Membership.
- Competition points will be allocated as follows:
Age Category (Individual)
1st = 15pts, 2nd = 14 pts … 15th = 1 point
Teams Category – Teams of 2 eligible participants are included)
10 Teams = 1st = 10pts, 2nd = 9pts, … 10th = 1 point - To earn competition points athletes must race in the distances and category for their Age Group, outlined in the Points Matrix below.
- Age Group categories and points will be based on the confirmed AusTriathlon club members taking part in the race as of midday Monday 30th September 2024. i.e. If you wish to earn points you must be entered in the race before this date.
- Age Group category point allocation will not be affected by athletes who do not race, are disqualified, or do not complete the course.
- Any competitor disqualified from any race will collect no points.
- Points will only be allocated once all race day information has been verified and results are posted. Athletes will have 20 minutes after the posted time of provisional results to notify a AusTriathlon staff member of changes to the results otherwise the results will stand.
- Athletes are only eligible to earn points in one (1) event. If an athlete competes in multiple events the highest points earned will be allocated to their club.
- Team categories include Female, Male and Unisex.

2024 QLD Club Championships
2024 QLD Club Championships presentations will take place at the Pho3nix Queensland Tri Series Round 2: Moreton Bay on Sunday, 6th October 2024.
Prizes
Junior Club Champions
Junior Club Champion will be determined by the club which has accumulated the most points at the end of the championships according to the follow points matrix.
The Junior Club Champions will receive the following prize monies.
- 1st = $600
- 2nd = $350
- 3rd = $250
Small Club Champions
The club with 50 members or less which has accumulated the most points at the end of the championships will be awarded the title of 2024 Small Club Champions. The Small Club Champions will receive the following prize monies.
- 1st = $800
- 2nd = $500
- 3rd = $350
Medium Club Champions
The club with 51 to 120 members which has accumulated the most points at the end of the championships will be awarded the title of 2024 Medium Club Champions. The Medium Club Champions will receive the following prize monies.
- 1st = $1,100
- 2nd = $800
- 3rd = $500
Large Club Champions
The club with more than 120 members which has accumulated the most points will be awarded the title of 2024 Large Club Champions. The Large Club Champions will receive the following prize monies.
- 1st = $1,800
- 2nd = $1,150
- 3rd = $800
