The iconic and purpose-built facility caters nicely for athletes and supporting spectators, as the rectangular-shaped course starts in front of the grandstand, making it the perfect swim course for a nervous swimmer. Once passing the grandstand again on the way back towards the swim finish, athletes will swim under the bridge, where they exit to Transition.Athletes will take in scenic views of the Blue Mountains and roll through the countryside on the two-lap Zoot bike course. Cyclists will exit transition along the regatta, where they'll turn left to loop around Penrith Whitewater Stadium. Once the loop is complete, athletes will exit the precinct via McCarthys Ln, turning left onto Castlereagh Rd. Athletes will continue along this road past the 15K mark and Godolphin Stables, where they'll then make a U-turn further along Castlereagh Rd.After the U-turn, athletes will turn left entering Brooks Ln, where they'll pass the 30K mark along Wilshire Rd. Riders will then turn left onto Jockbett Rd, following onto The Driftway where two U-turns will take place. Athletes will then follow the same path back until a left turn onto Castlereagh Rd again, where riders will continue back to the precinct. The second lap begins at the corner of Castlereagh Rd and McCarthy's Ln and finishes back along the regatta towards transition. Technical turns will allow for a challenge, however the smooth road surfaces will see fast course times as athletes head to the run course. The 21.1km HOKA Run Course unfolds at the foot of the breathtaking Blue Mountains, looping around the iconic Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC). Athletes will begin their journey by exiting Transition, crossing the bridge, and turning right at Car Park Gate A to head north along Old Castlereagh Road. With sweeping views of the Blue Mountains to the west, runners will reach the northern turnaround point before retracing their steps, passing the first Run Aid Station (R1), and following the marked course to the southern bank of the SIRC lake.At this point, participants will make a U-turn and head back toward Transition to begin their next lap. On their third approach to the southern bank U-turn, instead of looping again, they’ll continue straight to begin their final victory lap around the picturesque and internationally acclaimed competition lake. As they approach the finish line, the energy from cheering spectators lining the footpaths will give them that final push, culminating in a thrilling finish through the stadium-like atmosphere of the chute. This compact, three-lap course is designed to keep the action close and the excitement high—creating an unforgettable experience for both athletes and spectators.
