Save the Date! AusTriathlon is proud to announce that the 2025 AusTriathlon Awards will be held on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at the stunning RACV Royal Pines Resort, Gold Coast. This special lunchtime celebration will honour the incredible achievements and contributions of our triathlon community, both on and off the course. Nominations are now open, and we encourage all members to submit their nominations and help us shine a spotlight on the athletes, coaches, volunteers, officials, and clubs who make our sport so special. Booking information will be made available soon.
Members are invited to submit nominations for the below awards:
- Rob George Award
- Event of the Year (Under 500 participants)
- Event of the Year (500–1000 participants)
- Event of the Year (1000+ participants)
- Club Initiative of the Year
- Age Group Coach of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
Nominations close 5pm, Friday 15 August. A nominee for each state will be selected by States for the 2025 Awards.
Rob George Award
The Rob George Award, established to honour the late Rob George, recognises the valuable contributions made by Technical Officials to the technical program in their home state, who are dedicated and demonstrate exceptional personal commitment to their role as a Technical Official.
This accolade is awarded to individuals who embody the spirit of Rob George, a stalwart in the field, by demonstrating unwavering commitment, fairness, positivity, and teamwork.
Event of the Year (Under 500 participants)
This award is provided in recognition of event providers who have demonstrated exceptional skills in delivering a safe and high-quality event for under 500 people. For example, Adelaide Duathlon Series, Wyndham Harbour Triathlon, Wellcamp Duathlon.
Event of the Year (500–1000 participants)
This award is provided in recognition of event providers who have demonstrated exceptional skills in delivering a safe and high-quality event for 500 – 1000 people. For example, 2XU Triathlon Series and QLD Triathlon Series.
Event of the Year (1000+ participants)
This award is provided in recognition of event providers who have demonstrated exceptional skills in delivering a safe and high-quality event for over 1000 people. For example, Noosa Triathlon, IRONMAN 70.3 Cairns.
Club Initiative of the Year
AusTriathlon Club Initiative of the Year Award provides an opportunity to recognise and reward Club Committees and Volunteers for the work they do around the country. Judging period for this award is from 1st July to 30th June prior to the award ceremony.
Age Group Coach of the Year
The Age Group Coach of the Year Award recognises coaches who have demonstrated a commitment and dedication to coaching Australian triathletes and shown excellence in coaching in the community and age group environment.
These coaches have played a pivotal role in helping triathletes achieve improvement and competition success at the Age Group level. Their commitment and guidance have contributed significantly to the accomplishments of athletes in their environment.
