The Annual General Meeting of Triathlon NSW Limited (t/as NSW Triathlon) (“Company”) will be held at 7.00pm at WEDNESDAY 26TH November 2025 by TELECONFERENCE
CALL FOR NOMINATIONS for POSITION of ELECTED DIRECTOR
In accordance with the Constitution of NSW Triathlon, nominations for Elected Director must be:
- in writing
- on the prescribed form provided on this communication
- endorsed by the Recognised Triathlon Club confirming that the nominee is an individual Member of the Recognised Triathlon Club, and
- certified by the nominee (who must be a Member) expressing their willingness to accept the position for which they are nominated.
Nominations must be received by the Chief Executive Officer at least 35 days prior to the Annual General Meeting. If the number of nominations exceeds the number of vacancies to be filled, a secret ballot shall be taken in such usual and proper manner as the chair directs.
At the NSW Triathlon AGM on 29 November 2023 delegates voted to amend the terms of office of Board Members as per Rule 28.4 from two years to three years.
These changes have already taken effect and are once again outlined below.
In 2025, nominations will be sought for three vacancies, with staggered terms as follows:
- Director D: Elected in 2025 for 3 years, expiring in 2028
- Director E: Elected in 2025 for 3 years, expiring in 2028
- Director F: Elected in 2025 for 1 year, expiring in 2026
(Note: The lowest elected vote recipient will serve for 1 year, while the top two elected directors will serve for 3 years.)
The Board shall not be comprised of more than one office bearer or Director from any single Recognised Triathlon Club. This should be noted prior to members nominating for the 2025 AGM.
The term of the positions currently held by the following expire at this Annual General Meeting (listed in alphabetical order of first names):
- Deanna Waters (Northern Suburbs Triathlon Club)
- Megan Goodwin (Orange Triathlon Club)
- Nicky Western (Scone Triathlon Club)
The following, being elected at the AGM in 2024, will continue on as Directors for the durations of their terms (listed in alphabetical order of first names):
- Glenn Schwarzel (Macarthur Triathlon Club)
- Ja Davis (Newcastle Triathlon Club)
- Sarah Maguire (Concord Triathlon Club)
The NSW Triathlon Board is currently comprised of two Appointed Directors (listed in alphabetical order of first names):
- Lucy Burgmann (Balance Triathlon Club)
- Todd Alexis (Warringah Triathlon Club)
NSWT Board Nomination Forms and Process
All nominations should be accompanied by a Candidate Statement (no longer than 300 words, text only with no photos) outlining skills and experience appropriate to the role of a Director of a Public Company Limited by Guarantee.

Notices of Motion for inclusion as Special Business
In accordance with the Constitution of NSW Triathlon all Notices of Motion for inclusion in Special Business at a General Meeting must be submitted in writing (on the required form) to the Chief Executive Officer not less than 35 days (excluding receiving date and meeting date) prior to the General Meeting.
A completed Submission Form – Notice of Motion must be received by the CEO no later than 35 days prior to the Annual General Meeting, therefore received by 5:00pm, Wednesday 22nd October 2025.

Nominations for Life Membership
In accordance with the Constitution of NSW Triathlon, the Board will call for nominations from Recognised Triathlon Clubs for persons to be considered for Life Membership of the Company.
Nominations for persons to be considered for Life Membership should be submitted on the required form and must be received by the CEO no later than 35 days prior to the Annual General Meeting, therefore received by 5:00pm, Wednesday 22nd October 2025.
