Balance Triathlon Club
When it comes to turning up in numbers and bringing serious energy few clubs do it better than Balance Triathlon Club. With 30 members heading to the Club Grand Final, Balance Tri proudly boasts the largest contingent from our club cohort, and they’re ready to make their mark. Based in New South Wales, Balance Triathlon Club is a dynamic, high-energy and genuinely inclusive triathlon community built around a shared belief: we swim, we ride, we run – and we balance it all. Whether athletes are chasing podium finishes, ticking off personal firsts, or simply enjoying the journey, Balance Tri creates an environment where everyone feels supported, challenged and celebrated.
More than training – a true community
What truly sets Balance Tri apart is its culture. This is a club built on camaraderie and connection. After tough training sessions, race weekends or social rides, you’ll find members lingering over coffee, swapping stories, offering encouragement and loudly celebrating each other’s wins, big or small. It’s this sense of togetherness that fuels their performances on race day. Balance Tri athletes don’t just race for themselves, they race for each other, staying on course (and at the finish line) until the very last competitor crosses.
Why the Club Grand Final matters
For Balance Tri, lining up at the Club Grand Final, particularly on the Gold Coast stage, is about more than results. It’s a chance to showcase everything the club stands for: commitment, connection and collective support. “This event means so much to our squad,” the club shares. “It’s our moment to come together, chase our goals, represent our club colours with pride and make memories that reflect the balance we strive for, both on and off the racecourse.” With the scale and spectacle of the T100 environment, Balance Tri athletes are proud to represent not only their club, but the vibrant NSW triathlon community as a whole.
Balance Tri Club is recognised for blending fun, fierce competitiveness and an unshakable team spirit, all captured perfectly in their motto: “Race hard, play hard.” While Balance athletes give everything in every race, they’re just as passionate about cheering on others, backing their teammates and lifting the atmosphere wherever they go. And to the rival clubs? Consider this fair warning. “Watch out! We are strong, dedicated and here to win. When Balance Tri Club races, we race hard, race smart and leave it all on the course.”
Athletes to watch
With depth across experience levels and disciplines, Balance Tri brings plenty of talent to the start line. Keep an eye on:
- Trevor Potts – Fresh off a second-place finish at the Australian Alpine Ascent, Trevor’s form is undeniable.
- Jocie Evison – A multiple Ironman champion, Australia representative at Kona, and the club’s longest-serving member.
- Berto Pandolfo – Described simply (and accurately) as an absolute weapon on the bike.
- Tara Wilson – Making her mark as a first-time triathlon racer and one of the many examples of Balance Tri’s welcoming pathway for new athletes.
With the largest club turnout, a powerhouse mix of experience and newcomers, and a culture that champions balance in every sense, Balance Triathlon Club is set to leave a lasting impression at the Club Grand Final, on the results board and far beyond.
