The racing continues but this time in Central Queensland as the Fitzroy Frogs Triathlon Club prepare for the Tannum Sands Triathlon – a landmark race in their calendar.

Tannum Sands is a unique venue that the club races at twice a year during the season. Boasting a similar format to Emu Park the event offers enticer and sprint options across duathlon, aquathlon and triathlon, meaning there’s an option for everyone no matter their preference.

Boasting a community and family friendly environment the Tannum Sands event encourages people from across the towns to connect, have fun and race hard.

“Tannum is a friendly event for beginners and new triathletes, as well as providing plenty of opportunities for experienced athletes to push themselves,” said club President Helen.

“We expect over 120 athletes to compete across aquathlon, triathlon and duathlon, in Enticer and Sprint distances.”

“Tannum Sands Tri is a fantastic day in the Frogs calendar, as the Capricornia Schools selection trials are included in this event,” she noted.

With schools selection trials also up for grabs Tannum Sands is shaping to be a race you won’t want to miss.

Special shoutout to Tannum Sands Surf Club and 3D multiport coaching who assist with volunteer technical officials.
