Age Group Team Announcements
Will AusTriathlon notify me of my preliminary and or final Australian Age Group Team selection?
AusTriathlon will individually email all AusTriathlon members who have correctly expressed interest online through the AusTriathlon website for the Australian Age Group Triathlon, Multisport and or Long Distance Duathlon Team to outline the preliminary and final team selections. It is critical that Australian Age Group Team applicants ensure the email which you use to express interest online through the AusTriathlon website for the Australian Age Group Team is kept up to date and in working order throughout the entire selection period.

The 2026 Australian Age Group Triathlon Team (Pontevedra, Spain) list will be updated by 5pm AEST on Friday the 3rd of July 2026 once all selected athletes have confirmed team participation.

2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team (Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates)
2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Update (Published 15th March 2026 – Still Current 13th of May 2026):
Currently, the Australian Government has issued a “Do Not Travel” advisory for the United Arab Emirates via the Smartraveller website for all Australian citizens. This advisory was raised on the 28thof February 2026 due to the volatile security situation in the Middle East region, including military strikes and retaliatory actions across the Middle East, which are causing movement restrictions and travel disruptions. Given this travel advisory, AusTriathlon will delay the preliminary team announcement until5pm AEST on Wednesday the 1stof July 2026.
Depending on the Australian Government’s travel advice as of this date, AusTriathlon may be unable to select a 2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team. If this occurs, 2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Expression of Interest Application fees will be refunded, less the online processing fee. AusTriathlon will continue to work with World Triathlon regarding the 2026 World Triathlon Age Group Multisport World Championships and will provide updates to all 2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Expression of Interest Applicants as new information becomes available. 2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Expression of Interest Applications closed at 5pm AEDT on Monday the 23rd of March 2026 as noted in the 2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Selection Policy.
2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Preliminary Team (Sprint Distance Duathlon, Standard Distance Duathlon, Cross Triathlon, Cross Duathlon, Aquathlon, Long Distance Aquabike and Long Distance Triathlon): Released by 5pm AEST on Wednesday the 1st of July 2026.
2026 Australian Age Group Multisport Team Final Team (Sprint Distance Duathlon, Standard Distance Duathlon, Cross Triathlon, Cross Duathlon, Aquathlon, Long Distance Aquabike and Long Distance Triathlon): Released by 5pm AEST on Monday the 13th of July 2026.

2026 Australian Age Group T100 Triathlon Team Expression of Interest Applications: Close online at 5pm AEST on Monday the 10th of August 2026.
2026 Australian Age Group T100 Triathlon Team Update (Published 1st of April 2026 – Still Current 13th of May 2026):

The 2026 Australian Age Group T100 Triathlon Team Expression of Interest Applications will still close as noted in the 2026 Australian Age Group T100 Triathlon Team Selection Policy at 5pm AEST on Monday the 10th of August 2026. The 2026 Australian Age Group T100 Triathlon Team is scheduled to be announced by 5pm AEST on Tuesday the 1st of September 2026.
Depending on the Australian Government’s travel advice as of this date, AusTriathlon may be unable to select a 2026 Australian Age Group T100 Triathlon Team. AusTriathlon will continue to work with World Triathlon regarding the 2026 World Triathlon Age Group T100 Triathlon World Championships and will provide updates to all 2026 Australian Age Group T100 Triathlon Team Expression of Interest Applicants as new information becomes available.
