Division Four 4-Way Fight at NSW Triathlon Club Champs

5 May 2025

Division 4 at the NSW Triathlon Club Championships is shaping up to be one of the most fiercely contested battles of the event. While much of the pre-race spotlight has been on Sydney Triathlon Group (STG), Byron Tri Club and Concord Triathlon Club, a fourth contender is quietly emerging from the shadows: Manly Vipers Triathlon Club.

STG leads the way with 15 athletes entered so far, and they bring serious pedigree—having won four Division 4 titles in recent seasons. With quality athletes across every age group, they’ll be tough to beat.

Byron Tri Club isn’t far behind, boasting 13 athletes and riding a wave of momentum after dominating the recent Sprint Distance State Championships. They’ll arrive at Club Champs full of confidence and ready to take the fight to the frontrunners.

Concord Triathlon Club, meanwhile, has 12 athletes locked in and a strong case for being the emotional favourite. They’ve been “there or thereabouts” for several seasons, but 2025 could finally be their moment to step up and claim the Division 4 crown that has narrowly eluded them.

But don’t count out Manly Vipers. They’ve quietly (well up until right now) assembled a squad nearly as large as STG, and word from the training grounds is that they’ve got plenty of quality to back up the numbers. No strangers to big races, Vipers are staying under the radar—but ready to win when it counts.

With four clubs in the hunt, a deep field of talent, and reputations on the line, Division 4 is set to be one to watch. As always, every second will matter, and every position could swing the title.
