It’s Back! The ‘Finish Lines… Not Finish Times’ Program Returns for 2025/2026
NSW Triathlon is proud to confirm the return of our flagship women’s participation initiative, Finish Lines… Not Finish Times, for the 2025/2026 season.
Since its inception in 2019, this nationally recognised program has introduced over 3,600 women to the sport of triathlon — growing participation, building confidence, and creating lasting friendships through supportive, community-driven experiences.
What began as a small-scale pilot involving just 11 clubs has evolved into a highly impactful program now featuring pre-event training, education sessions, and skills development, all delivered by clubs and AusTriathlon-accredited coaches. Every element of the program is designed to reduce barriers to entry and offer inclusive, empowering pathways into the sport.
Its impact has not gone unnoticed. Finish Lines… Not Finish Times was selected by the NSW Office of Sport as a featured program at their ‘Showstopper’ event — one of only eight initiatives across all State Sporting Organisations to receive this honour.
We’re now calling on clubs to once again take part in this movement and apply for funding to deliver the program locally in 2025/2026. Whether you’re continuing the momentum or launching for the first time, we welcome your application.
