Introducing Hayley Lyall – An Aquabike Golden Girl

28 Dec 2025

Childhood dreams achieved and now it’s eyes on the future

When Hayley Lyall toed the start line in Wollongong wearing the green and gold, she was already living a childhood dream. By the end of the day, she was a World Champion!

The Tomaree Triathlon Club athlete delivered a performance built on heart, efficiency and an unshakeable sense of purpose – and she credits not high‑volume training blocks, but to motherhood itself.

With two young daughters and a life full of moving parts, Hayley has learned to train with intention. Every session counts, every kilometre has meaning, and that discipline has shaped her into one of the most resilient and efficient athletes in the field. Her victory in Wollongong wasn’t just a result; it was a culmination of years of work, family support, and it proved to be a surreal joy of seeing a lifelong dream realised.

Surrounded by her sister, baby nephew, in‑laws, husband and daughter on race day, and later phoning her eldest to share her joy, the words “Mummy won. Mummy is a World Champion” will stay with her forever. Hayley’s triumph became a family moment as much as an athletic one.

Calm, intentional, and fuelled by heart, her race was unforgettable in every sense.

As she looks ahead to a return to the 70.3 distance in 2026, Hayley carries the momentum of Wollongong with her – still inspired, still motivated, and still proving what’s possible when purpose meets passion.

💚💛
