AusTriathlon is proud to announce the formation of a new LGBTIQA+ Advisory Group, as part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone in our sport. We are now seeking expressions of interest from passionate individuals to join this important initiative.
The advisory group will meet four times a year, bringing together voices from across the triathlon community to help guide and strengthen AusTriathlon’s strategic focus on LGBTIQA+ inclusion. Members of the group will play a vital role in shaping the future of triathlon by:
-
Enhancing communication between AusTriathlon and LGBTIQA+ communities
-
Supporting the development of inclusive practices across all levels of the sport
-
Ensuring LGBTIQA+ triathletes and allies are represented in decision-making spaces
This is an opportunity to contribute to lasting change in triathlon and to help ensure the sport is accessible and empowering for all.
Who we’re looking for
The group will include LGBTIQA+ individuals and allies who are actively involved in triathlon, whether as athletes, coaches, officials, volunteers, or supporters. We welcome applications from people with diverse lived experiences and perspectives who are committed to championing inclusion within the sport.
