Lauren Parker (PTWC), Anu Francis (PTS2), Jack Howell (PTS5), and Grace Brimelow have all but booked their tickets to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.
With the Paralympic Qualification Period officially closing as of July 1, the quartet have secured automatic nominations to the Australian Paralympic team by ranking in the top five of the Paralympic Qualification Rankings in their gender and class.
Australia further strengthened its representation in Paris, securing an additional eight quota positions for the Games:
- PTS4 Men (2 quota positions)
- PTWC Men (1 quota position)
- PTS2 Men (1 quota position)
- PTS3 Men (1 quota position)
- PTS5 Men (1 quota position)
- PTVI Men (1 quota position)
- PTS4 Women (1 quota position)
These positions, secured by Australian athletes ranking in the top nine of the Paralympic Qualification Rankings in their gender and class, will be filled through discretionary nomination by the AusTriathlon Elite Selection Committee (ESC).
