Forster Shines Once Again for NSW Club Championships 2025

23 May 2025

Forster, a gem on the Mid North Coast of NSW, welcomed us back for another unforgettable NSW Triathlon Club Championships — a weekend where passion, camaraderie, and competition collided under blue skies.

With Forster Main Beach and the brand-new Surf Life Saving Club as our backdrop for the weekend, the triathlon community reunited, bound by a shared love of swimming, cycling, and running. The weather was nothing short of spectacular, setting the stage for a fantastic event.

Over 650 athletes, 150 volunteers, and a dedicated team of 15 Technical Officials came together in the name of sport, teamwork, and club pride. Club kits and bespoke Club Championship gear were worn with pride as athletes worked together, in ideal racing conditions, to help put their team in the running for title of Club Champions.

The race culminated with two loops of a scenic 4km run, weaving through the now-iconic ‘Club Tent Alley’ which was lined with clubmates cheering, clapping, and chanting. The atmosphere was electric — a true display of the spirit that defines our sport.

NSW Triathlon CEO, Adam Wicks, spoke passionately about the weekend: “I’ve attended many Club Champs over the years, and each one has its own magic. But 2025 will stand out for the stunning weather and an energy that reminded us all why triathlon is such a special community.”

It was a weekend of memorable breakthroughs, including long-awaited triumphs. Balance Triathlon Club finally claimed victory in Division 2, ending an 18-year wait after countless runner-up finishes. Their win over rivals Central Coast Triathlon Club was hard-earned and deeply deserved.

Over in Division 1, Cronulla Triathlon Club made waves by ending Warringah Triathlon Club’s incredible five-year winning streak. Warringah may have finished second this year, but their legacy is undeniable — a true dynasty that raised the standard for all!

Cronulla’s success didn’t stop there. Their juniors also claimed back-to-back titles, underlining the strength of their club from the grassroots up. It’s a region that has produced legends like Craig “Crowie” Alexander and Chris “Macca” McCormack — and it’s clear the legacy continues.

While the racing was fierce, the most spirited contest took place well after the finish line — on the glowing neon dancefloor at the after-party. Once again, the post-race celebration proved to be the heart of the weekend, full of laughter, dance battles, and neon-lit memories.

The success of the weekend wouldn’t have been possible without our partner, H Events, led by CEO Paul Humphreys and his tireless team.

“We love delivering Club Champs,” said Paul. “After 30 years of organising triathlon events, it’s the passion and knowledge of the club volunteers that make this event so special. The energy around the course and finish area was unmatched.”

A heartfelt thank you goes to H Events, our volunteers, officials, and every participant who made the 2025 NSW Triathlon Club Championships such a celebration of sport, community, and club spirit.
