The President’s Report, Chief Executive Officers Report and Financial Report were presented. NSW Triathlon reported a net surplus for the year ended 30 June 2024 of $10,416. The figures were closely monitored during the year to ensure a small surplus was achieved and the organisation has retained earnings of $572,492 leaving the association in a strong financial position and well placed to face future challenges should they arise.
The Motion on Notice for constitutional change were endorsed by the voting delegates. An updated constitution will be circulated shortly and uploaded to the website ASAP.
Congratulations to the three successful applicants including Glenn Schwarzel (Macarthur Triathlon Club) and Ja Davis (Newcastle Triathlon) who were voted onto a 3-year term on the NSW Triathlon Board and Sarah Maguire (Concord Triathlon Club) who was successful in her application, receiving a 2-year term as the board transitions to 3 year terms. We also thank the unsuccessful candidates for taking the time and investing the effort into applying.
The election results were confirmed by our Independent Scrutineer – Stuart Hodge (Sport NSW CEO) and we thank him for the role he played.
The role of the board remains more relevant now than ever providing local guidance and leadership to the sport of Triathlon in NSW, ensuring our local clubs receive the support they require and monitoring the performance of our staff.
The future looks strong for the sport of Triathlon in NSW!
Adam Wicks (NSW Triathlon CEO) and Deanna Waters (NSW Triathlon President on behalf of the Board).
